We all have a toolbox in life. One that allows us to move through positive and negative experiences. These tools give us the skills we need to navigate life without feeling overwhelmed all the time.

Many of these tools you’ve had for a long time, you’ve used them all your life. Tools like talking, listening, taking time for yourself, exercising, journaling, meditating, spending time with others, are all bits and pieces that make our journey of life a little more enjoyable and manageable.

But as we grow older and become responsible for ourselves and possibly others too, we tend to put the tools that provide us with some self-love, on a shelf. We first worry about whether everything runs smoothly, whether our team is on track. It becomes easy to lose sight of ourselves and what we need.

But there are ways we can expand our tools for self-love, without it demanding too much of our time.

Let’s explore some non-time-consuming self-love tools!

Mindset

You can do this without actually ‘doing’ much. In our day-to-day, we have millions of thoughts running through our minds. Things we need to do, thoughts we have about others and ourselves. Thoughts about the way things are going.
