Getting A Tattoo

What to consider before and after getting permanent art on your body.

Tattoos can be absolutely great. Whether you want one and which kind you like depends strongly from person to person, but if you like and have them, they are awesome. I got my first tattoo three years ago, and since then I have added five more, with a new one scheduled for next month.

But before you get a beautiful piece of art or text permanently placed on your body, there are some factors to consider. Not just whether you should get one, but where, at what parlour, how much it’ll cost, what time of year, and how you ensure good after-care.

Having experience with five different tattoo parlours in four different countries, I thought back about questions and concerns I wish I’d some clear answers for. All of these answers are based on my own experience, and can obviously vary per individual, but I’m sure it will give you a general idea of things!
